Baker's Dozen
Quilters' Quarters

Baker's Dozen Quilters' Quarters are fat quarters of 100% quality quilting cotton fabric in sets of 13 ...  a Baker's Dozen!  So, what is a fat quarter?  When purchasing fabric yardage, if you get a ¼-yard cut, it measures 9" x the width of the fabric.  This piece is usually not straight to grain, it cannot be easily pre-washed, and cannot be used easily for anything, making it a poor value.  A fat quarter, measuring 22" x 18", is also a ¼-yard cut, but much, much easier to use, and an excellent value.

My quilter's quarters are also cut with YOUR value in mind.  I prewash the fabric so that you don't have to, and I cut off all selvages, so that each 22" x 18" piece of fabric is completely useable in your projects!  Believe me, no one else will do this for you.

Finally, I don't believe that a fat quarter should cost more than the same yardage would cost you at the shop, so my prices are very, very reasonable ... at least 50% - 70% less than anywhere else.  With my value pricing, you can truly afford to build your stash!

To order your Baker's Dozen, simply pick your color choice from the drop-down list below and add to your cart.  If you want more than one, pick each one and add to cart seperately.  If you want multiple quantities of a color group, you can change that in the cart.

I ship within 3 days of receiving your order.  Please see
Shipping Rates for more information.

See below for a description of the color choices.

Color Groups and Themes

The following will describe the colors included in each color grouping.  Be aware that the fabrics will vary from the picture shown on this page, and as much as possible, you will never receive a duplicate fabric in this, or future orders.

Also note that the color groupings will NOT include holiday, juvenile, or themed prints.  Those will be in their own groupings.

And, if you should receive a fat quarter that you absolutely love and want more of, just contact me with the fabric number, and I will let you know if I have any yardage or additional fat quarters available.

New Bundle
Mixed Bouquet

Flowers and quilts seem to go hand-in-hand, so what could be better than an assortment of floral prints in all colors?  Florals mixed with black or brown make simply stunning quilts.

White to Light

White and cream, including white on white (WOW) and cream on cream (COW).  Will also include white, cream, and ecru backgrounds with color foreground patterns.  Great for backgrounds in your quilt blocks.

Neutral Territory

From light tan and beige to the deepest brown.  Will also include khaki.  May include these colors as backgrounds with a different color foreground pattern.  Neutral colors blend with just about any other color.  Experiment!

Black Tie Affair

From the lightest grey to the deepest  of blacks.  Will include these colors as the background with other colors forming the foreground color.  Instead of a white background in your quilt, why not try a darker color?

Sunshine Yellow

Everyone loves yellow, and I work hard to collect the very best prints from very pale to deep, deep gold.  Pair a pretty yellow with your favorite blue for a classic look to your quilt blocks.

Orange Grove

Orange in any quilt can really make it "pop".  Try colors ranging from pale apricot to a scrumptious, rich copper, and everything in between for a quilt that just longs to be loved.

Roses In Bloom

Who doesn't love roses, especially red roses?  A quilt made with a variety of red fabrics, from deep mauve to deep burgundy can add a wonderful accent to your home.

Pretty In Pink

Pink is such a versatile color.  Combine it with black or turquoise for a retro '80s look, or pair it with other wonderful pastels for that special little girl in your life.  From the palest hue to the darkest shade, you can't go wrong with pink.

Grapevines

From the palest lilac or violet, to the deepest grape, purple is such a wonderful color.  With touches of lavender to that special girl's quilt to the deepest royal for your bedroom, purple is truly the color of royalty.

Greener Pastures

What is your favorite shade of green?  Pale golden green like new grass, perfectly balanced kelly green, deep forest green, or a wonderful shade of aqua or teal?  Green in any shade is the favorite of many quilters.

True Blue

Ah, exquisite blue.  From the palest of baby blue to the wonderful royal, and beyond to the deepest navy, what stash is complete without an assortment of blue?  For a delightful ocean look, try pairing true blue with teal or aqua.  Refreshing!

Surprise Me!

Can't decide or wanting to go completely scrappy?  How about a sampler of hues from the color assortments above.  Let me choose my favorite White to Light, Neutral Territory, Black Tie Affair, Sunshine Yellow, Orange Grove, Roses In Bloom, Pretty In Pink, Grapevines, Greener Pastures, and True Blue fabrics for your quilting pleasure.

Miss Americana

Instead of pure reds, whites and blues, Americana colors incorporate the deeper shades of burgundy, beige and deep blue.  These darker patriotic shades blend well with the more contemporary colors in your home, and add a rich, homey feel to any decor.

Yankee Doodle Dandy

America the Beautiful!  These wonderful patriotic shades in red, white and blue are perfect for that wonderfully loving gift to our brave men and women and their anxiously waiting families.  This collection will include themed fabrics with stars and stripes.

A Christmas Carol

Christmas always seems to come quicker than we thought it would.  Why not get started now on your holiday gifts and decorations.  This themed set of Christmas prints makes it easy to create that new family heirloom.

Holiday Happenings

Need to make a quick project for a holiday gift or decoration?  If you're like me, you find that you don't have just the right fabric for the project.  This themed grouping will include fabrics for Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and possibly Chanukah (when available), and other holidays.  Be prepared for anything!

A Special Note from Deirdre

I am an authorized, and licensed, distributor for EVERY fabric manufacturer.  It has been suggested otherwise by some people on the Yahoo Groups that I am not in an attempt to advertise their own products.  Before believing anything you read on those groups (which I love), please ask questions.  For those who would try to hurt my business to promote your own, why not try for some professionalism!  Thank you.
